There are days, such as that one, when a customer tries on a peice of jewelry, and you realized that you designed it just for her, even if you've never met her before. So was the purchaser of the Agate Majesty Necklace (which made it's debut at the show as well as a number of peices from my  Channelling HOT Coco Collection ). When she put it on, it had her name on it.

I also had the feeling about the Carnelian Mardi Gras peice that was also purchased at the show. The purchaser bought it to give as a gift, but when she tried it on -- it shouted her name.  I  will be curious to know if the "giftee" actually receives it.

As a kid June was the month for the Strawberry Festival at my church.  I remember the Women's Society would organize and have people bring in dishes of everything and every way strawberries could be served; from just large baskets of fresh strawberries and whipped creme to strawberry pie, cake, ice creme, sauces, jellies--you name it. I finally got the pics out of the camera and on my website. One of my latest items "Wine Glass Charms" are here. If you have ever put your glass down at a party and don't remember which drink was yours, you will surely appreciate  these. They are made up of the same semi precious stones that I use for my jewelry. The charms fit neatly around the bottom of your wine glass and each set will contain 4 different charms. If you are ordering multiple sets at the same time I will make sure that there are no duplicates in the offering. Since I don't know what stones I will be using ahead of time, you will just have to trust my judgment--don't worry they will be tasteful. Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

 I was doing inventory on my supply of stones to create some new peices to feature in the Open Studio event, at the Westchester Arts Building ,where I have my studio.  In the course of doing that, I found I had many small piles of small stones, usually used for filler on some of the more intricate peices.   As I was collecting them and trying to put them in some orderly fashion I began to save them on random peices of wire.  It suddenly dawned on me that these might make some interesting "Wine Glass Charms". Great little trinkets that help you keep track of your OWN wine glass at a gathering. So that is my new 'current offering' item.  And also found that I am a Carnelian fiend, with so many variations on that stone, that I had to do something special with the hugh quantity.  That culminated into the creation of 'Carnelian Mardi Gras' - hope you like this new peice, which will be unveiled at the 'Open Studios- Arts Bash on May 15-16, 2009 at the Westchester Arts Bldg, 31 Mamaronek Ave. White Plains, NY- then featured on the website.
